Origin
Our teas come from two of Japan’s most celebrated regions, each with its own unique character.
In the eastern part of Shizuoka Prefecture, a landscape shaped by remarkable natural features nurtures our matcha. To the north rises the sacred peak of Mt. Fuji, while warm ocean currents from the south create a gentle climate. The Izu Peninsula stretches to the east, and to the west, the Fuji River—one of Japan’s great rapids—flows into Suruga Bay. This pristine environment, with pure water and soft breezes, produces premium tea leaves that give our matcha its vibrant color and rich, complex flavor.
Our hojicha, on the other hand, is crafted in Kyoto, the cultural heart of Japan and a region renowned for its tea traditions. Here, tea leaves are carefully roasted in small batches to bring out a warm, toasty aroma and mellow sweetness. This process transforms the leaves into a comforting, aromatic tea that perfectly complements the bold character of matcha.
Together, Shizuoka and Kyoto represent the harmony of Japan’s tea heritage—two distinct origins, one exceptional experience.
